An inspiring workout prompted a huge creativity session with white board, Post It Table pad, lots of open windows in Safari and so many ideas removed from my brain and put down on paper. Thank goodness! I needed that!

This year i'm avoiding flowers and sending these for v-day: http://products.proflowers.com/plants/LuckyHeartBamboo-10519?viewpos=2&trackingpgroup=productsearch&ref=fgvprtlspandora_hpF1824cpa_300x250FhBmr19
A cool gift idea, plus lucky, and is an eco-friendly plant to have around your house - they last a lot longer than flowers do too!

Just saw AT&T is offering refurbished phones...a great way to reuse. Just visit their site for more information, i'm guessing you can also ask about it at stores - if you're switching plans or want a new phone this would be a great time to look into this.

Responding to Thomas' ? re CFL disposal: Most metro area county household hazardous waste collection sites will accept them for free. Check your county's website for specifics. Some hardware stores, Home Depot, and Menard's will accept them for free (some for a fee). Call ahead & check. Good local info avail at http://www.rethinkrecycling.com/residents/throw-buy/materials-name/fluorescent-bulbs

Speaking of light bulbs - where can I recycle the new low energy bulbs. IKEA used to take them back, but they apparently don't anymore.

Keiko, thanks for the response to Kerry's cassette tapes question. I have some of those and some other computer waste products (digital cameras, PDAs, etc.) that don't work and need to get rid of them. Thanks!

Our Electrician said that it is dangerous to use the high efficiency light bulbs with a dimmer switch unless the high efficiency light bulbs are made for a dimmer (and I guess they are more expensive). Of course, I did not know that…and though it cost me $450 for that insight, it saved my family from a fire hazard. Guess it’s time to buy new light bulbs!
